Printer Overview
At 25 pages per minute, TROY MICR 4100 Secure Ex printers are perfect as multi-use business printers for individual use, attached to a network, shared among a workgroup, or dedicated specifically for secure financial document printing. Capable of printing up to 1,500 documents per hour, 4100 Secure Ex printers feature a duty cycle of 150,000 pages per month.

The TROY MICR 4100 Secure Ex printer comes with one 500-sheet locking paper tray. The MICR 4100T Secure Ex printer features two 500- sheet locking paper trays, making it ideal for printing from multiple accounts or switching between check printing and general office printing-including graphics at up to 1200-dpi resolution.

Now with the option of adding a third 500-sheet tray, input capacity can be increased to 1,600 sheets. And with full support of HP LaserJet 4100 options and accessories, the printer can be configured to meet a wide range of applications.

MICR by TROY™
MICR applications demand great security, and TROY MICR Secure Ex printers offer the best in the world. The data stream is encrypted. Access to MICR is password protected, as is access to the printer’s control panel itself. A unique three-position MICR keylock controls access to the printer, and locks on input and output trays protect security stock and finished checks.

And there’s more. A user-settable time-out for MICR functions has been implemented. Automatic reprint after a jam has been disabled. TROY’s enhanced auditing tool allows administrators to capture and audit critical data such as the MICR line, payee name, amount, issue date, and authorized user name. And if anything goes wrong in the printing process—the data file is fraudulently diverted or an improper MICR font is downloaded—a user-defined message, such as “VOID” appears across the face of the check.

For post-printing document security, checks can be protected from alteration through a unique TROYmark™ feature which repetitively prints payee name and amount or other key
data in the check background.
